International Polarizer: With our June 2005 acquisition of International Polarizer, PPG now offers polarized lens materials as part of our Optical Materials business. We will continue to refer to this part of our business as International Polarizer. Read more about International Polarizer.
Intercast Europe, S.p.A.: PPG acquired Intercast Europe, S.p.A. and related manufacturing operations in Thailand in May 2006. Intercast Europe is the world's leading manufacturer of nonprescription sunlenses.
Transitions Optical, Inc. : Transitions Optical, a majority-owned subsidiary of PPG located in Pinellas Park, FL, manufactures the leading plastic photochromic lens in the world. Read more about Transitions Optical.
Photosol Photochromic Dyes: PPG has developed a number of photochromic dyes with applications in a variety of markets where customers have found it useful to demonstrate a color change on exposure to sunlight.
